the [e]mpowered learining cycle...
Developing as a voluntary group since November 2006, the Empowered Project Ltd was established as a social enterprise in July 2008 and was registered as a not for profit company limited by guarantee. We now operate from an established site, with an independent status and have successfully rolled out our programmes into a new geographical area.
Our expertise is in the delivery of activities that allow young people to learn and develop into young leaders. We have now successfully completed two full phases of our structured learning cycle and have successfully launched pilot programmes in Daventry. Our organisation has reached a level of maturity that allows us to build on our successes and from our lessons and what’s more, we are now starting to share our experiences and expertise with others through the networks we are involved with and have helped to develop.
Over the last few years our model of work has evolved and we have developed The Empowered Learning Cycle. The aim of each annual cycle is the delivery of activity programmes that follow yearly learning cycles designed to identify, train and develop community leaders with an emphasis on young leaders, adult volunteers and paid sessional staff. The inherent sustainability at the heart of this cycle of programmed learning and activities relies on the provision of relevant, quality training and accreditation.
Currently we are developing new programmes that provide training and learning to Young Leaders, Community Volunteers and Sessional Staff. These opportunities will provide more than 100 places for accredited learning and qualifications including; Indoor Climbing Award, Canoe Safety Test, Child Protection, Introduction to Youth Work, First Aid and Food Safety.
